Located south of Dallas close to Midlothian, Tayman Graveyard is a three attraction park with a Funeral Home, a Mine maze, and a hayride. The price of a combo ticket is $25 and is what I recommend buying since you'll definitely want to see all three attractions. Food is available and you can easily spend a couple of hours at Tayman.
The hayride is always my favorite here since it's one of only three in the North Texas area. Bars confine you and a black light reflects off of the neon painted trailer to create an eerie atmosphere for your long trip through the woods, with many monsters awaiting you. The monsters like to follow the ride even after making their first run at you so you'll always have something coming or going during your trip.
The Funeral Home is the main house at Tayman and has a great opening with an intro from the home director, who then attempts to keep the spirits at bay as you enter the haunt. The exorcism room and the collapsing hallway are probably my favorite areas, though the entire haunt is well done and is filled with good actors. New this year is a trail after the house, with actors and a few good surprises.
The Mine is a dark maze with well hidden actors and improved props, followed by a much improved trail with an Old West theme. The shotgun actor is my favorite, and the cemetery is great this year.
Tayman also benefits from having a location that feels like a haunted house, out in the country just outside of Midlothian. A tractor ride is available to transport you from the parking lot, but I always like to take a walk up the dark hill leading to Tayman, it sets the mood nicely if you do that. For an old fashioned Halloween experience, try Tayman Graveyard this year, and be sure to get the combo ticket!
