It's rare to find a completely new haunt like the Haunt House. I say rare because Haunt House is truly brand new, built from the ground up, while most new haunted houses are remodeled from existing stores, warehouses, trailers, etc. The owner/manager worked at Verdun (Thrillvania) for 14 years and Haunt House reflects what he learned on the job. The use of lighting is excellent, with a generally dark eerie glow throughout the house. The actors are well placed to surprise you in every room (each room being interactive is a point of this haunt) and the place is well decorated with creative props. At $16 (or $15 with a dollar off coupon available for printing on our homepage or their site) you're getting a good deal due to the number of actors (20+) as well as the design of the house and the fright level.

Actors are the emphasis in Haunt House, but the props are first rate as well. My favorites are in the Dining Room, and the clown funhouse room, which will remind some people of Killer Clowns From Outer Space. A spotted room is well done with a couple of twists on the successful style and there are two dark mazes with sheets and tubes, plus an operating room and a butcher's area. Clowns and the Texas Chainsaw massacre are the two main themes in the haunt, with very persistent actors complementing the well done areas. Haunt House is dark, especially in the mazes, which adds quite a bit to the fright level.

Haunt House is located off of the I-30 eastbound access road in Caddo Mills, not too far from Garland and Rockwall. Look for the strobe light on top of the haunt. While the haunt itself is well lit, the surrounding area is dark and adds to the atmosphere. The place has a good, creepy old fashioned country haunt feel to it. If you want to see a brand new place with lots of good actors who will scare you, take a trip to Haunt House.
