Dr Haunt's is in Gainesville, on the southbound I-35 access road. This year Dr Haunt's improves significantly on it's 2006 season, returning with a more intense, darker, and more frightening haunted house. The cost is only $15, with discount coupons available on their website. From I-35, take exit 499 (northbound) or exit 498A (southbound) and Dr Haunt's is on the southbound side of I-35.
Dr Haunt is located in the greeting room and can be heard teasing those waiting in line. Dr Haunt's room is a parlor with caskets. As you continue into Dr Haunt's, you'll find that the two best things about the place are the actors and the claustrophobic feel. Dark, narrow passageways combined with good actors is always a good combination for a haunted house. Among the best parts of Dr Haunt's are the extremely dark mazes with different endings, a great clownroom with a giant clown and several others, a good spinning tunnel, a morgue room with a doctor who likes to jump around the tables in pursuit of you, a lovely parlor, an interesting undertaker room with standing caskets, a very claustrophobic swamp area, and the best chainsaw actors I've seen.
Making you duck, feel along walls, and squeeze through tight openings makes Dr Haunt's more intense than most haunts, and the constant stream of actors prevents you from becoming comfortable. All in all Dr Haunt's has returned to being the most hardcore haunted house in North Texas in 2007!
