In it's third home in as many years, Boneyard has proven to be a huge disappointment. With a fraction of the props it had three years ago, Boneyard is still a very long haunt. Unfortunately this means that there are long stretches with nothing to look at. Compounding the scarcity of props and decor is a relatively small (for a haunt this size) number of actors. It would help if the actors knew what they're doing, but they don't. I found three different groups of actors visiting with each other in the middle of their rooms, and several other actors badly out of place. The actors that were in place and focused did little more than run up to you, in full view, and shout.
As mentioned, this is a long house. It took me over 30 minutes to get through, but with so little to look at and such unskilled actors I was looking forward to the end of the haunt well before I exited. There are a few good parts, notably Claustrophobia, a thick tube maze, and several extremely dark hallways that force you to feel your way along. A shock pad was a nice touch in the middle of one such hallway. The price isn't bad at $18, but what value is there in a mostly dull haunt? I'm not saying that Boneyard is an awful haunted house, it's just that it's a mediocre haunt in an area filled with good and great haunts. Maybe things will improve next year if Boneyard manages to stay in the same place, but I can't recommend going to it this year.
